Fence Repair

Fence Repair in Midland & Odessa, TX

Most fences don't fail all at once. A post rots at the ground, a section starts to lean, a gate stops latching, and then one windy afternoon a whole panel is on the ground. Tall City Exteriors repairs fences across Midland, Odessa and the Permian Basin, from a single broken post to sections flattened by a storm.

We look at what actually failed and fix that, not just the part you can see. If a section is too far gone to be worth repairing, we'll tell you, and we can replace just that run instead of the whole fence.

Tall City Exteriors is BBB Accredited and fully insured, and every estimate is free.

Common fence problems we fix

Posts & Leaning Fences

A leaning fence almost always means a post problem: rotted wood at the ground line, a post that was set too shallow, or one that snapped in the wind. We replace failed posts with new wood or steel posts, your choice, and bring the section back to plumb so the panels aren't fighting the wind.

Pickets & Rails

Broken, missing or badly warped pickets and cracked rails let wind and pets through and make the whole fence look tired. We replace damaged boards and rails and fasten everything back down tight.

Good to know: New boards won't match weathered ones right away. Staining the fence after a repair evens out the color and protects the old wood and the new.

Gate Repair

Gates get the hardest use of any part of a fence. We fix sagging and dragging gates, replace worn hinges and latches, and rebuild or replace gates that are past saving.

Storm & Wind Damage

West Texas storms can push over whole runs of fence in an afternoon. We clear the damaged sections, reuse what's still sound, and rebuild the rest. We answer the phone 24/7, so call us after a storm and we'll get you on the schedule.

Repairs on Every Fence Type

We build wood privacy, pipe and metal, ornamental iron, aluminum, chain link and vinyl fences, so we know how each one is put together and how to fix it.

Our Fence Repair Process

  1. Free on-site look: We find what actually failed (posts, rails, hardware or the whole section) and quote the repair.

  2. Repair or replace, honestly: If a section is cheaper to rebuild than to patch, we'll say so and quote both.

  3. Fix: We replace posts, boards, rails or hardware and straighten the line.

  4. Walkthrough: We check every gate and the repaired sections with you before we leave.

Areas We Serve

Tall City Exteriors repairs fences throughout Midland, Odessa, Big Spring and the surrounding Permian Basin, including Midland, Ector, Howard, Andrews, Martin, Crane, Winkler, Ward, Reeves, Pecos, Glasscock, Upton and Loving counties.

Repair It, Then Protect It

Wood that's never been stained dries out and fails early. After a repair is a good time to stain the whole fence so the rest of it lasts. If the damage is widespread, ask about a new fence instead.

Fence Repair Questions

Don't see your question? Call 432-279-1900, text 432-200-1200 or email alex@tallcityexteriors.com.

Should I repair my fence or replace it?

If the problems are a few posts, boards or a gate, repair usually makes sense. If most posts are rotted or several sections are down, a new fence often costs less over time. We'll look and give you an honest recommendation.

Can you fix just one section of my fence?

Yes. We can repair or rebuild a single section without replacing the whole fence.

Will the new boards match my old fence?

Not right away; new wood is lighter than weathered wood. Staining the fence after the repair evens out the color.

Do you repair gates?

Yes. We fix sagging and dragging gates, replace hinges and latches, and replace gates that can't be saved.

Do you repair storm damage?

Yes. We clear the damaged sections, reuse what's still sound, and rebuild the rest. We answer the phone 24/7, so call after a storm and we'll get you on the schedule.
